About Us

Ozyegin Social Investments (OzSI) is the umbrella of philanthropic organizations and initiatives founded and/or supported by the Ozyegin family. It includes the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation, Mother Child Education Foundation, and Özyeğin University as well as a network of over 200 social impact endeavors that aim to make a holistic contribution to societal development. All investments reflect the value of sharing and the goal of providing access to equal learning opportunities upheld by FIBA Group’s Founder and Honorary President Hüsnü M. Özyeğin.

In the past twenty years, OzSI has allocated $525M in funds, with over 90% devoted to education, and reached over 1.5 million individuals directly through its organizations. OzSI also contributes to the development of the philanthropy ecosystem by sharing its subject matter expertise in various social impact fields.

Established in 1990, the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation is dedicated to promoting social and economic development by working in the fields of education, rural development, girls’ empowerment, health, and culture.

Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV)

Since 1993
A fair start in life

AÇEV has been working to enable every child to be safe, happy, and learning in early childhood. Towards this goal, it develops and implements evidence-based early childhood, parenting, and women’s empowerment programs and campaigns for better public policies for children and adults.

Özyeğin University (ÖzÜ)

Since 2007
A young entrepreneurial university

Özyeğin University was established by the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation in 2007 as a financially accessible entrepreneurial research university. Özyeğin University’s mission is to create, share, and apply knowledge in the service of society.

Ozyegin Social Investments works in a diverse set of fields and functions in philanthropy. In addition to its own organizations and the 200 social impact initiatives supported, it has established 3 rehabilitation centers in partnership with various public stakeholders.
